Title: Nuclear weapons and foreign policy

Book ·
OSTI ID:6691788

The publisher feels this account by the former Secretary of State is as relevant today as when it was first published in 1957. They feel that Dr. Kissinger's premise is still valid: Humankind's means of self-destruction are becoming ever more efficient, and the world continues to be unstable and rent by deep schisms. International relations have become truly global, with US foreign policy particularly difficult because of the apparent Soviet determination to prevent the establishment of an equilibrium. Twelve separate chapters are included under three parts, namely: (I) The problems of survival; (II) Technology and strategy; and (III) Strategy and policy. An extensive bibliography is included.
