Title: Superplasticity in aerospace II; Proceedings of the Symposium, 119th Annual Meeting of the Metallurgical Society, Anaheim, CA, Feb. 19-22, 1990

Conference ·
OSTI ID:6199363

The present conference on aerospace applications of SPF/DB discusses SPF of ceramics, SPF in ceramic and metal-matrix composite systems, SPF and cavitation in B-doped Ni3Al, a computational model for superplastic pans of complex geometry with friction, the effect of hydrostatic pressure on SPF of an Al-Li alloy, and the application of fractals to the fracture behavior of superplastic materials. Also discussed are the behavior of Al-Mg alloys in hot working and superplasticity, the processing and superplasticity of 'Navalite', the effect of artificial aging on SPF behavior of high strength Al alloy, SPF-induced microstructure of 7475 Al alloy deformed in an external electric field, and SPF studies of the Al-Li-Sc-Mg alloy system.
