An experimental study describing the mechanisms of drying of a thick layer of natural crumb rubber is presented. The evolution of the temperature profiles of the crumb and profiles of temperature and relative humidity of intergranular air and water content of crumb are presented. These evolutions enable understanding of the internal mechanisms involved and lead to practical recommendations for the management of industrial driers.
