Experimental determination of forces in a rigidly constrained rod of composite material heated on one side
An installation and a method for investigating thermal forces and strains in structural elements type rods, plates and panels of composite polymer materials subjected to one-sided heating are presented. A diagram of the installation for investigating the thermal forces in structural elements of heat-insulating materials subjected to one-sided heating is shown. The dependences of the support membrane forces and bending moments in the rod on the temperature in one-sided heating were established. The nature of the change of the thermal forces depends on the speed and depth of penetration of the front of temperatures exceeding the temperature of onset of destruction into the section of the material. During cooling, the tensile forces and bending moments continue to increase.
