HP41C formation evaluation programs
Over 30 programmable calculator programs for fast, on-the-job analysis are included in this book. They are short, simple, and useable in the field, office, or laboroatory. Each program comes with equations and simple solutions that are geared around the HP41C programmable calculator. The programs are useful for petroleum well log analysis as well as mineral and engineering applications. Contents include: Preliminary Methods - estimating and filtrate, solution temperature correction; Determining R/sub WE/, and calculating average temperature gradient downhole; Analysis Methods - calculating porosity, determining water saturation, acoustic-neutron crossplot for lithology and porosity, and estimating permeability of a sandstone; Troubleshooting Methods - obtaining probable density from porosity and Obtaining R/sub O/ and R/sub XO/; General Programs - determining area under a logged curve, calculating vertical thickness of a bed, determining horizontal displacement of a deviated hole, and estimating cuttings lag while drilling.
