A lubricating oil composition having a low viscosity index comprising a mineral lubricating oil containing from about 0.5 to about 5.0 percent by volume of conjugated dienemonovinylarene copolymer having incorporated into or onto said copolymer at least one metal salt of a metal selected from the group consisting of a metal of group I, II, III or IV of the periodic table and a fatty acid having about 8 to about 30 carbon atoms per molecule and a polyhydrocarbylsiloxane silicone compound, the relative amounts of said metal salt and said silicone compound being sufficient to significantly reduce the blocking between contact surfaces of said conjugated diene-monovinylarene copolymer.
