Electrical submersible pump teardown inspection
Abstract
This article deals with the details of an electrical submersible pump motor inspection. The ESP motor is shown in the disassembly fixture (vise). What to look for is discussed, such as the condition of the motor housing; if there is any heavy or light scale which could have added to motor heating and possible buildup; corrosion and any dents, scratches or bending.
