Title: Software directory for molecular biologists

Abstract

This book is a guide to commercial and non-commercial software for the collection, management and analysis of DNA, RNA and protein sequences. This information had been scattered throughout a wide variety of sources, but with the publication of the Software Directory scientists can locate the right software for their research in one volume. The directory lists all specialist software available for molecular biology, and compares, appraises and critically examines each program. Each entry lists program name, functional features, machine type, computer manufacturer, operating system, and author or company. It supplies all the data needed for researchers to choose the correct software for their work.
