Title: Euler and N-S grid generation for Halis configuration with body flap

The purpose of this paper is two fold. First, a high quality grid for the Halis geometry has been generated. The grid is optimized with regard to smoothness, orthogonality, and skewness. In particular, the grid is almost orthogonal on fixed boundaries to simplify the usage of turbulence models. Second, a topology has been designed that aligns the grid with the expected streamline distribution as much as possible to improve the accuracy of the numerical solution, and, at the same time, allows the reduction of the number of grid points needed. This is an important aspect in driving down computing time. For a flow adapted grid topology the number of blocks is higher than for a simple topology. Consequently, the number of points per block is smaller. In addition, the number of grid points may differ substantially from block to block. This feature has two consequences. First, an advanced topology cannot be used by codes that rely on large blocks, for instance, codes that ran on vector computers demanding long vector lengths. This type of topology will also be difficult for codes using the mult-grid technique because grid coarsening win be less effective for smaller blocks.
