A convenient preparation of trineophyltin deuteride and some applications including the reduction of organic halides and {alpha}-Halo ketones

Chemical preparation of the deuterium labelled organometallic compound, trineophyltin deuteride (2) is detailed. Use of 2 in the deuteration of carbon tetrachloride, methyl acrylate, and {alpha}-bromoacetophenone and {alpha}-bromo-2-acetonaphthone was studied.
