TALK - simulating accelerator radiation environments
Conference
·
OSTI ID:36621
This talk provides a glimpse of the early history of computer science. Early in this context means at its evolutionary stage, mid 1950`s and before. He traces the early work on such devices, and the way they were treated within the scientific establishment, and how the attitude of certain individuals to their value was pivotal to their use, application, and spread within the scientific community.
