Title: Radiative decay of the Hg(6{sup 3}P{sub 2}) metastable state in rare gases

Abstract

Based on the semiempirical potentials of interatomic interaction and the probabilities of quasi-molecular radiative transitions recently obtained, the processes of radiative decay of the Hg(6{sup 3}P{sub 2}) metastable state in collisions with rare gas atoms were considered. Temperature dependences of the rate constants for these processes were calculated. 27 refs., 3 figs., 5 tabs.
