Title: Columnar phase in the Stockmayer model

Monte Carlo numerical simulation of the Stockmayer model is performed for particles with a sufficiently large dipole moment (m* {<=} 4.2). At concentrations 0.16 < {rho} < 0.31, a columnar phase is found which consists of parallel cylindrical layers, the particles forming a crystal structure in each cylinder with their dipoles codirected and parallel to the cylinder axis. The dipoles of nearest cylinders have opposite directions.
