Abstract

We present analytic approximations of chiral SU(3) amplitudes for the extrapolation of lattice data to the physical masses and the determination of Next-to-Next-to-Leading-Order low-energy constants. Lattice data for the ratio F{sub K}/F{sub {pi}} is used to test the method.

We present the first results of the PACS-CS project which aims to simulate 2+1 flavor lattice QCD on the physical point with the nonperturbatively O(a)-improved Wilson quark action and the Iwasaki gauge action. Numerical simulations are carried out at {beta}=1.9, corresponding to the lattice spacing of a=0.0907(13) fm, on a 32{sup 3}x64 lattice with the use of the domain-decomposed HMC algorithm to reduce the up-down quark mass. Continuum limit physics from 2+1 flavor domain wall QCD

We present physical results obtained from simulations using 2+1 flavors of domain wall quarks and the Iwasaki gauge action at two values of the lattice spacing a, [a{sup -1} = 1.73(3) GeV and a{sup -1} = 2.28(3) GeV]. On the coarser lattice, with 24{sup 3} x 64 x 16 points (where the 16 corresponds to L{sub s}, the extent of the 5th dimension inherent in the domain wall fermion formulation of QCD), the analysis of C. Chiral extrapolation of SU(3) amplitudes

Approximations of chiral SU(3) amplitudes at NNLO are proposed to facilitate the extrapolation of lattice data to the physical meson masses. Inclusion of NNLO terms is essential for investigating convergence properties of chiral SU(3) and for determining low-energy constants in a controllable fashion. The approximations are tested with recent lattice data for the ratio of decay constants F{sub K}/F{sub {pi}}.

Physical results from 2+1 flavor domain wall QCD and SU(2) chiral perturbation theory

We have simulated QCD using 2+1 flavors of domain wall quarks and the Iwasaki gauge action on a (2.74 fm){sup 3} volume with an inverse lattice scale of a{sup -1}=1.729(28) GeV. The up and down (light) quarks are degenerate in our calculations and we have used four values for the ratio of light quark masses to the strange (heavy) quark mass in our simulations: 0.217, 0.350, 0.617, and 0.884. We have measured pseudoscalar meson masses and decay constants, the kaon bag parameter B{sub K}, and vector meson couplings.
