Materials Data on OsC2 by Materials Project
OsC2 is Molybdenite-like structured and crystallizes in the hexagonal P-6m2 space group. The structure is two-dimensional and consists of one OsC2 sheet oriented in the (0, 0, 1) direction. Os2- is bonded to six equivalent C1+ atoms to form distorted edge-sharing OsC6 pentagonal pyramids. All Os–C bond lengths are 2.10 Å. C1+ is bonded in a 3-coordinate geometry to three equivalent Os2- atoms.
