Materials Data on TbGa3 by Materials Project
TbGa3 crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Tb is bonded to twelve equivalent Ga atoms to form a mixture of distorted corner and face-sharing TbGa12 cuboctahedra. There are six shorter (3.05 Å) and six longer (3.16 Å) Tb–Ga bond lengths. Ga is bonded in a 10-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Tb and six equivalent Ga atoms. All Ga–Ga bond lengths are 2.80 Å.
