Materials Data on CaAlPd by Materials Project
CaPdAl crystallizes in the orthorhombic Pbcm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Ca is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to five equivalent Pd atoms. There are a spread of Ca–Pd bond distances ranging from 3.00–3.25 Å. Pd is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to five equivalent Ca and four equivalent Al atoms. There are two shorter (2.58 Å) and two longer (2.63 Å) Pd–Al bond lengths. Al is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Pd atoms.
