Materials Data on S by Materials Project
Abstract
S is alpha Selenium-like structured and crystallizes in the trigonal R-3 space group. The structure is zero-dimensional and consists of three hexasulfur molecules. S is bonded in a water-like geometry to two equivalent S atoms. Both S–S bond lengths are 2.07 Å.
