Title: DOE F 241.3_DE-EE0006097_FINAL

In this project, Optony deployed the Sustainable Energy for Business Districts (SEBIZ) model to address China’s surging urban energy needs and greenhouse gas emissions via a district-level Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) and smart grid technology deployment strategy. The SEBIZ approach built local capacity and demonstrated the opportunities and benefits for ongoing improvements to and investments in energy infrastructure through market-based project development and an innovative, highly-effective applied public policy development model. Furthermore, the SEBIZ program used real-world examples and resources to formulate appropriate policy, program and educational guidance for similar areas and cities around China and internationally.
