Materials Data on SrBiAu by Materials Project
Abstract
SrAuBi crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Sr is bonded in a 11-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Au and five equivalent Bi atoms. All Sr–Au bond lengths are 3.60 Å. There are three shorter (3.19 Å) and two longer (3.33 Å) Sr–Bi bond lengths. Au is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Sr atoms. Bi is bonded to five equivalent Sr atoms to form a mixture of corner and edge-sharing BiSr5 trigonal bipyramids.
