Materials Data on KCeSe4 by Materials Project
KCeSe4 crystallizes in the tetragonal P4/nbm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. K1+ is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to eight equivalent Se+1.25- atoms. All K–Se bond lengths are 3.48 Å. Ce4+ is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to eight equivalent Se+1.25- atoms. All Ce–Se bond lengths are 3.05 Å. Se+1.25- is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to two equivalent K1+, two equivalent Ce4+, and one Se+1.25- atom. The Se–Se bond length is 2.46 Å.
