The results of development and employment of field X-ray radiometric insrtuments intended for the determination of different element mass fractions from calcium to uranium in various mediums under industrial conditions are considered in this report. The portable semiconductor units for detecting x ray radiation with high energy resolution are used as a detector. The applications to ore testing and environmental monitoring are described.
