Abstract
Dr. Jarret Brachman, an internationally recognized al-Qaida specialist, author and public lecturer, shares his thoughts on a range of topics, including the differences involved in fighting insurgent groups versus terrorist organizations, the future of the global al-Qaida movement, and assessing America's efforts to combat al-Qaida. In his talk, Brachman focuses specifically on current trends in al-Qaida's military and messaging strategies, both from the perspective of the group's senior leadership and its regional commands.
