Title: Roadrunner Supercomputer Breaks the Petaflop Barrier

Abstract

At 3:30 a.m. on May 26, 2008, Memorial Day, the "Roadrunner" supercomputer exceeded a sustained speed of 1 petaflops, or 1 million billion calculations per second.
