Using Blockchain Technology, NREL Opens Window to Peer-to-peer Energy Transactions
Abstract
With its new application, developed in partnership with BlockCypher, NREL has laid the groundwork to help make peer-to-peer energy transactions possible. This technology leans on NREL-developed Foresee, an innovative user-centric home energy management system. NREL’s Dylan Cutler explains the impact this application may one day have on the future of the energy market.
