A New Detector – the 4D Camera – Reaches a New Frontier in Speed
Abstract
An electron microscope at Berkeley Lab’s Molecular Foundry has been upgraded with a superfast detector, the 4D Camera. The detector can capture more images at a faster rate, revealing atomic-scale details across much larger areas than was possible before.
