Abstract

We are surrounded by all kinds of technology. Scientists and engineers have created amazing tools and resources, paved the way for multi-functional devices, and have put useful information at our finger tips. Software technology has enabled unprecedented levels of automation which has revolutionized our world and daily lives. Every year increasingly more data is collected and stored. Are we on the right track? This is an introduction to the new department on software technology.
