Blue-Light-Excitable, Quantum Yield Enhanced, Yellow-Emitting, Zirconium-Based Metal–Organic Framework Phosphors Formed by Immobilizing Organic Chromophores

Here, we demonstrate that two new zirconium-based metal-organic frameworks can be constructed from organic chromophore ligands. Both compounds show intense yellow emission when excited by blue light, with a notable fluorescence red shift and quantum yield enhancement compared to the organic chromophore.
