Title: Supersymmetric S U ( 5 ) × U ( 1 ) χ and the weak gravity conjecture

Abstract

We consider a supersymmetric $$SU(5) \times U(1)_\chi$$ model where the $$U(1)_\chi$$ symmetry is broken at some intermediate scale. A $$Z_2$$ symmetry is ubroken, which yields a stable supersymmetric dark matter particle as well as topologically stable cosmic strings which may survive inflation. The unbroken $$Z_2$$ symmetry provides an intriguing link between dark matter, black holes carrying `quantum hair' and cosmic strings.
