Title: Enhanced Néel temperature in EuSnP under pressure

Abstract

The high-pressure single crystal X-ray diffraction results for EuSnP are reported with no structural phase transition below ∼6.2 GPa. Temperature-dependent resistivity measurements up to 2.15 GPa indicate that the antiferromagnetic transition temperature ( T _N ) is significantly enhanced under pressure.

Pressure-induced collapsed-tetragonal phase in ${SrCo}_{2} {As}_{2}$

We present high-energy x-ray diffraction data under applied pressures up to p = 29 GPa, neutron diffraction measurements up to p = 1.1GPa, and electrical resistance measurements up to p = 5.9 GPa, on SrCo₂As₂. Here, our x-ray diffraction data demonstrate that there is a first-order transition between the tetragonal (T) and collapsed-tetragonal (cT) phases, with an onset above approximately 6 GPa at T = 7K. The pressure for the onset of the cT phase and the range of coexistence between the T and cT phases appears to be nearly temperature independent. Pressure-enhanced interplay between lattice, spin, and charge in the mixed perovskite La₂FeMnO₆

Spin crossover plays a central role in the structural instability, net magnetic moment modification, metallization, and even in superconductivity in corresponding materials. Most reports on the pressure-induced spin crossover with a large volume collapse have so far focused on compounds with a single transition metal. Here we report a comprehensive high-pressure investigation of a mixed Fe-Mn perovskite La₂FeMnO₆. Under pressure, the strong coupling between Fe and Mn leads to a combined valence/spin transition: Fe³⁺(S=5/2) → Fe² + (S = 0) and Mn³⁺(S = 2) → Mn⁴⁺(S = 3/2), with an isostructural phase transition. Pressure-induced superconductivity in a three-dimensional topological material ZrTe₅

As a new type of topological materials, ZrTe₅ shows many exotic properties under extreme conditions. By using resistance and ac magnetic susceptibility measurements under high pressure, while the resistance anomaly near 128 K is completely suppressed at 6.2 GPa, a fully superconducting transition emerges. The superconducting transition temperature T_c increases with applied pressure, and reaches a maximum of 4.0 K at 14.6 GPa, followed by a slight drop but remaining almost constant value up to 68.5 GPa.
