Lanthanide complexes of 1,8-bis(2′-isopropyltetrazo-5′-yl)-3,6-di- tert -butylcarbazolide adopt geometries that include planar, buckled and tetrazolyl-bridged tridentate, as well as bidentate, bonding modes.
