Probing TeV Scale Seesaw and Leptogenesis at the LHC

If the seesaw mechanism is responsible for neutrino masses, an important question for physics beyond the standard model is the scale of B-L symmetry breaking responsible for the right-handed neutrino masses. Assuming this scale to be in the TeV range makes it accessible at the LHC. Here we discuss the compatibility of low-scale B-L symmetry with leptogenesis as the mechanism for understanding the origin of matter, and whether a direct collider probe of this mechanism is possible. Neutrino masses, leptogenesis, and dark matter in a hybrid seesaw model

We suggest a hybrid seesaw model where relatively light right-handed neutrinos give no contribution to neutrino mass matrix due to a special symmetry. This allows their Yukawa couplings to the standard model particles to be relatively strong, so that the standard model Higgs boson can decay dominantly to a left- and a right-handed neutrino, leaving another stable right-handed neutrino as cold dark matter. In our model neutrino masses arise via the type-II seesaw mechanism, the Higgs triplet scalars being also responsible for the generation of the matter-antimatter asymmetry via the leptogenesis mechanism.

Leptogenesis is a cosmological consequence of the seesaw mechanism and provides a link between the observed baryon asymmetry and neutrino masses. We show which information can be inferred from leptogenesis on neutrino masses and on those high energy seesaw parameters that represent a sort of 'dark side' for conventional experiments. We also report on a new scenario of leptogenesis that opens new opportunities for leptogenesis to be tested.

Higgs boson exempt no-scale supersymmetry with a neutrino seesaw mechanism: Implications for lepton flavor violation and leptogenesis

Motivated by the observation of neutrino oscillations, we extend the Higgs boson exempt no-scale supersymmetry model by adding three heavy right-handed neutrino chiral supermultiplets to generate the light neutrino masses and mixings. The neutrino Yukawa couplings can induce new lepton-flavor violating couplings among the soft terms in the course of renormalization group running down from the boundary scale. We study the effects this has on the predictions for low-energy probes of lepton-flavor violation (LFV). Impact of leptogenesis and muon g-2 on lepton flavour violation in supersymmetric seesaw models

The framework of supersymmetric see-saw models are considered. The successful leptogenesis scenarios which are due to a decay of the right-handed neutrinos tends to require rather heavy right-handed neutrinos. On the other hand, a discrepancy of the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon reported between the experimental and theoretical results implies lighter supersymmetric particles. In the light of successful leptogenesis scenarios, this anomaly of the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon leads to sizable lepton-flavour violations. It is shown that for a hierarchical right-handed neutrino mass spectrum, {mu}{yields}e{gamma} is expected to be observed in near future experiments.
