Title: Measurement of the spectral function for the $τ^{-} \to K^{-} K_{S} ν_{τ}$ decay

Abstract

The decay τ ^–→K ^–K _Sν _τ has been studied using 430 × 10 ⁶ e ⁺e ^–→τ ⁺τ ^– events produced at a center-of-mass energy around 10.6 GeV at the PEP-II collider and studied with the BABAR detector. The mass spectrum of the K ^–K _S system has been measured and the spectral function has been obtained. In conclusion, the measured branching fraction B(τ ^–→K ^–K _Sν _τ) = (0.739 ± 0.011(stat) ± 0.020(syst)) × 10 ^–3 is found to be in agreement with earlier measurements.

In conclusion, the measured branching fraction B(τ ^–→K ^–K _Sν _τ) = (0.739 ± 0.011(stat) ± 0.020(syst)) × 10 ^–3 is found to be in agreement with earlier measurements.

Observation of the Semileptonic Decay $D^{0} \to a_{0} (980)^{-} e^{+} ν_{e}$ and Evidence for $D^{+} \to a_{0} (980)^{0} e^{+} ν_{e}$

Using an e ⁺e ^– collision data sample of 2.93 fb ^–1 collected at a center-of-mass energy of 3.773 GeV by the BESIII detector at BEPCII, we report the observation of D ⁰ → a ₀(980) ^–e ⁺ν _e and evidence for D ⁺ → a ₀(980) ⁰e ⁺ν _e with significances of 6.4σ and 2.9σ, respectively.
