Title: A homoleptic chromium(iii) carboxylate

The first homoleptic monomeric chromium(iii) carboxylate has been prepared using an anhydrous salt metathesis synthetic route. Here, the carboxylate groups coordinate the chromium in a bidentate chelate yielding an aliphatic soluble complex.
