The Snake River Plain–Yellowstone (SRP-Y) hotspot track represents the largest known low-δ¹⁸O igneous province; however, debate persists regarding the timing and distribution of meteoric hydrothermal alteration and subsequent melting/assimilation relative to hotspot magmatism. To further constrain alteration relations for SRP-Y low-δ¹⁸O magmatism, we present in situ δ¹⁸O and U–Pb analyses of zircon, and laser fluorination δ¹⁸O analyses of phenocrysts, from the Lake Owyhee volcanic field (LOVF) of east-central Oregon. U–Pb data place LOVF magmatism between 16.3 and 15.4 Ma, and contain no evidence for xenocrystic zircon. Five Pleistocene basaltic volcanoes in Crater Flat (southern Nevada) demonstrate the complexity of eruption processes associated with small-volume basalts and the effects of initial emplacement characteristics on post-eruptive geomorphic evolution of the volcanic surfaces. The volcanoes record eruptive processes in their pyroclastic facies ranging from ''classical'' Strombolian mechanisms to, potentially, violent Strombolian mechanisms. Cone growth was accompanied, and sometimes disrupted, by effusion of lavas from the bases of cones. The Syrtis Major volcano, Mars: A multidisciplinary approach to interpreting its magmatic evolution and structural development: EVOLUTION OF THE SYRTIS MAJOR VOLCANO

Very weak crustal magnetic fields over the Syrtis Major volcanic complex imply almost total thermal demagnetization via magmatic intrusions over a large area less than ~4Ga. We fit a model of these intrusions and the resulting thermal demagnetization to maps of crustal magnetic field strength at 185km altitude. The best fits are most consistent with a "dog bone"-shaped region of intrusive material, elongated approximately north-south, with an area of ~350,000km² and an inferred volume of ~4-19×10⁶km³. Implications of historical eruptive-vent migration on the northeast rift zone of Mauna Loa Volcano, Hawaii

Five times within the past 138 yr (1852, 1855-1856, 1880-1881, 1942, and 1984), lava flows from vents on the northeast rift zone of Mauna Loa Volcano have reached within a few kilometres of Hilo (the largest city on the Island of Hawaii).
