The temperature dependences of the resistivity of granular high-temperature superconductor YBa{sub 2}Cu{sub 3}O{sub 7–δ} ρ(T) are measured at various transverse external magnetic fields 0 ≤ H{sub ext} ≤ 100 Oe in the temperature range from the resistivity onset temperature T{sub ρ=0} to the superconducting transition critical temperature T{sub c} at the transport current density from 50 to 2000 mA/cm{sup 2}. Magnetic, thermal, transport, and structural properties of Sr[sub 2]RuO[sub 4+[delta]]: Enhanced charge-carrier mass in a nearly metallic oxide

Measurements of electrical resistivity, magnetic susceptibility, heat capacity, and powder neutron diffraction are presented on Sr[sub 2]RuO[sub 4+[delta]]. Specimens with low-impurity levels allow magnetic susceptibility in the range 5[lt][ital T][lt]350 K to be measured; these measurements indicate a small effective magnetic moment of [mu][sub eff][approx]1[mu][sub [ital B]] per Ru ion. Electrical resistivity displays nonmetallic behavior in the range 1.2[lt][ital T][lt]300 K with [rho](295 K)=51 m[Omega] cm. A rather large linear heat-capacity coefficient of [gamma]=45.6 mJ/mol K[sup 2] is reported; speculation is made regarding its origin. Structural, magnetic, thermal, and transport properties of X{sub 8}Ga{sub 16}Ge{sub 30} (X=Eu,Sr,Ba) single crystals

Structural, magnetic, electrical and thermal transport, and heat-capacity measurements are reported on single crystals of Eu{sub 8}Ga{sub 16}Ge{sub 30}, Sr{sub 8}Ga{sub 16}Ge{sub 30}, and Ba{sub 8}Ga{sub 16}Ge{sub 30}. These compounds all crystallize in a cubic type-I ice clathrate structure, and are of interest as potential thermoelectric materials. Neutron-diffraction measurements were made on a single crystal of Eu{sub 8}Ga{sub 16}Ge{sub 30} that was grown using isotopically pure Eu{sup 153}.
