Excited states in 186Re with spins up to J = 12~ were investigated in two separate experiments using 186W(d, 2n) reactions at beam energies of 12.5 MeV and 14.5 MeV. Two- and three-fold γ-ray coincidence data were collected using the CAESAR and CAGRA spectrometers, respectively, each composed of Compton-suppressed HpGe detectors. Analysis of the data revealed rotational bands built on several two-quasiparticle intrinsic states, including a long-lived Kπ = (8+) isomer. Configuration assignments were supported by an analysis of in-band properties, such as |gK - gR| values. In-beam spectroscopy of medium- and high-spin states in ${}^{133}{Ce}$

Medium and high-spin states in Ce-133 were investigated using the Cd-116(Ne-22, 5n) reaction and the Gammasphere array. The level scheme was extended up to an excitation energy of similar to 22.8 MeV and spin 93/2 (h) over bar. Eleven bands of quadrupole transitions and two new dipole bands are identified. The connections to low-lying states of the previously known, high-spin triaxial bands were firmly established, thus fixing the excitation energy and, in many cases, the spin parity of the levels. Background:The 31S(p,γ)32Cl reaction becomes important for sulfur production in novae if the 31P(p,α)28Si reaction rate is somewhat greater than currently accepted. The rate of the 31S(p,γ)32Cl reaction is uncertain,primarily due to the properties of resonances atEcm= 156 and 549 keV. Low-, medium-, and high-spin states in the $N = Z + 1$ nucleus ${}^{63}{Ga}$

The fusion-evaporation reaction Si-28 + Ca-40 at 122 MeV beam energy was used to populate excited states in the N = Z + 1 nucleus Ga-63. With the combination of the Gammasphere spectrometer and the Microball CsI(T1) charged-particle detector array, the level scheme of Ga-63 was extended by more than a factor of two in terms of number of gamma-ray transitions and excited states, excitation energy (E-x > 30 MeV), and angular momentum (I > 30 h).
