Spontaneous R-parity violation: Lightest neutralino decays and neutrino mixing angles at future colliders

We study the decays of the lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP) in models with spontaneously broken R-parity. We focus on the two cases that the LSP is either a bino or a neutral singlet lepton. We work out the most important phenomenological differences between these two scenarios and discuss also how they might be distinguished from explicit R-parity breaking models. In both cases we find that certain ratios of decay branching ratios are correlated with either the solar or the atmospheric (and reactor) neutrino angle. The hypothesis that spontaneous R-parity violation is the source of the observed neutrino masses is thereforemore » potentially testable at the LHC.« less

Models with natural seesaw mechanism for neutrino masses with identical parity- and SU(2) sub R -breaking scales

Chang and Mohapatra have observed that the implementation of the seesaw mechanism explaining small neutrino masses in left-right-symmetric or SO(10) models requires the parity- ({ital P}-) and SU(2){sub {ital R}}-breaking scales to be widely separated ({ital M}{sub {ital P}}{much gt}{ital M}{sub {ital R}}). In this paper we show how the mechanism operates naturally even though the two scales are identical. Probing R-parity violating models of neutrino mass at the LHC via top squark decays

We show that the R-parity violating decays of the lighter top squarks (t-tilde{sub 1}) triggered by the lepton number violating couplings {lambda}{sub i33}{sup '}, where the lepton family index i=1-3, can be observed at the LHC via the dilepton dijet channel even if the coupling is as small as 10{sup -4} or 10{sup -5}.
