Lepton flavor violation in the little Higgs model with T parity

Little Higgs models with T-parity may provide us with a new source of lepton flavor violation, as such, in this paper we consider the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon (g-2){sub {mu}} and the lepton flavor violating decays {mu}{yields}e{gamma} and {tau}{yields}{mu}{gamma} in the little Higgs model with T-parity [A. Goyal, hep-ph/0609095.]. Our results show that the present experimental constraints of {mu}{yields}e{gamma} are a much more useful tool for constraining the new sources of flavor violation, than from the other processes considered here, which are present in T-parity models.

Flavor-changing interactions mediated by scalars at the weak scale

The quark and lepton mass matrices possess approximate flavor symmetries. Several results follow if the interactions of new scalars possess these approximate symmetries. Present experimental bounds allow these exotic scalars to have a weak-scale mass. The Glashow-Weinberg criterion is rendered unnecessary. Finally, rare leptonic {ital B} meson decays provide powerful probes of these scalars, expecially if they are leptoquarks.

Scale-free, axisymmetry galaxy models with little angular momentum

Two scale-free models of elliptical galaxies are constructed using a self-consistent field approach developed by Schwarschild. Both models have concentric, oblate spheroidal, equipotential surfaces, with a logarithmic potential dependence on central distance. The axial ratio of the equipotential surfaces is 4:3, and the extent ratio of density level surfaces id 2.5:1 (corresponding to an E6 galaxy). Each model satisfies the Poisson and steady state Boltzmann equaion for time scales of order 100 galactic years.

Gauge coupling unification and the stability of the Higgs vacuum are among two of the cherished features of low-energy supersymmetric models. Putting aside questions of naturalness, supersymmetry might only be realized in nature at very high energy scales. If this is the case, the preservation of gauge coupling unification and the stability of the Higgs vacuum would certainly require new physics, but it need not necessarily be at weak scale energies. New physics near the unification scale could, in principle, ensure grand unification, while new physics below 10¹⁰ GeV could ensure the stability of the Higgs vacuum. Calculability, natura flavor conservation, and a left-right symmetric gauge model of the weak and electromagnetic interactions

Two of the most powerful theoretical constraints on gague theories of the weak and electromagnetic interactions are calculability of the generalized Cabibbo mixing angles and Natural Flavor Conservation (NFC) in gauge boson and Higgs mediated neutral currents.
