Searches for $R$ -parity-violating supersymmetry in $p p$ collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 8 TeV$ in final states with 0–4 leptons

Results are presented from searches for R-parity-violating supersymmetry in events produced in pp collisions at sqrt(s) = 8 TeV at the LHC. Final states with 0, 1, 2, or multiple leptons are considered independently. The analysis is performed on data collected by the CMS experiment corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.5 inverse femtobarns. No excesses of events above the standard model expectations are observed, and 95% confidence level limits are set on supersymmetric particle masses and production cross sections. $R_{D^{(*)}}$ anomaly: A possible hint for natural supersymmetry with $R$ -parity violation

Recently, several B-physics experiments have reported an appreciable deviation from the standard model (SM) in the tree-level observables R_D(*); the combined weighted average now stands at ≈4σ. We first show the anomaly necessarily implies model-independent collider signals of the form pp → bτν that should be expeditiously searched for at ATLAS/CMS as a complementary test of the anomaly. Next we suggest a possible interconnection of the anomaly with the radiative stability of the standard model Higgs boson and point to a minimal effective supersymmetric scenario with R-parity violation as the underlying cause. Dark $C P$ violation and gauged lepton or baryon number for electroweak baryogenesis

We explore the generation of the baryon asymmetry in an extension of the standard model where the lepton number is promoted to a U(1)ℓ gauge symmetry with an associated Z' gauge boson. This is based on a novel electroweak baryogenesis mechanism first proposed by us in Ref. Extra fermionic degrees of freedom, including a fermionic dark matter χ, are introduced in the dark sector for anomaly cancellation. Search for Heavy Neutrinos and $W_{R}$ Bosons with Right-Handed Couplings in a Left-Right Symmetric Model in $p p$ Collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 7 TeV$

Results are presented from a search for heavy, right-handed muon neutrinos, N[mu], and right-handed W[R] bosons, which arise in the left-right symmetric extensions of the standard model. The analysis is based on a 5.0 inverse femtobarn sample of proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 7 TeV, collected by the CMS detector at the Large Hadron Collider.
