THE LITTLEST HIGGS MODEL AND ONE-LOOP ELECTROWEAK PRECISION CONSTRAINTS.

We present in this talk the one-loop electroweak precision constraints in the Littlest Higgs model, including the logarithmically enhanced contributions from both fermion and scalar loops. We find the one-loop contributions are comparable to the tree level corrections in some regions of parameter space. A low cutoff scale is allowed for a non-zero triplet VEV. Constraints on various other parameters in the model are also discussed. The role of triplet scalars in constructing a consistent renormalization scheme is emphasized.

Fermion self-energies and pole masses at two-loop order in a general renormalizable theory with massless gauge bosons

I present the two-loop self-energy functions and pole masses for fermions in an arbitrary renormalizable field theory in the approximation that vector bosons are treated as massless. The calculations are done simultaneously in the mass-independent MS, DR, and DR{sup '} renormalization schemes, with a general covariant gauge fixing, and treating Majorana and Dirac fermions in a unified way. As examples, I discuss the two-loop strong interaction corrections to the gluino, neutralino, chargino, and quark pole masses in minimal supersymmetry. Do Electroweak Precision Data and Higgs-Mass Constraints Rule Out a Scalar Bottom Quark with Mass of Order 5GeV?

We study the implications of a scalar bottom quark, with a mass of O(5 GeV) , within the minimal supersymmetric standard model. Light sbottoms may naturally appear for large tan {beta} and, depending on the decay modes, may have escaped experimental detection. We show that a light sbottom cannot be ruled out by electroweak precision data and the bound on the lightest CP-even Higgs-boson mass. We infer that a light {tilde b} scenario requires a relatively light scalar top quark whose mass is typically about the top-quark mass. Electroweak symmetry breaking by fourth-generation condensates and the neutrino spectrum

We consider a new mechanism for dynamical symmetry breaking of the electroweak symmetries involving condensates of fourth-generation quarks and leptons. A dynamical generalization of the seesaw mechanism is proposed based upon the BCS theory in which a neutrino condensate gives rise to right-handed-neutrino Majorana masses and all associated spin-zero bosons are composite. The fourth-generation neutrino is naturally heavier than {ital M}{sub {ital Z}}/2 and the scale of new physics is bounded above. The renormalization-group equations for the effective Lagrangian of this model are derived and used to solve the model. Implications for neutrino masses are discussed.
