We present a simple proof that all Green's functions for nonexceptional Euclidean momenta in any renormalizable (but not superrenormalizable) field theory containing zero-mass particles are infrared finite. We discuss the relationship of a corollary result, that any physical discontinuity of Green's functions is also infrared finite, to the question of quark confinement in non-Abelian gauge theories. One-particle many-body Green’s function theory: Algebraic recursive definitions, linked-diagram theorem, irreducible-diagram theorem, and general-order algorithms

A thorough analytical and numerical characterization of the whole perturbation series of one-particle many-body Green’s function (MBGF) theory is presented in a pedagogical manner. Three distinct but equivalent algebraic (first-quantized) recursive definitions of the perturbation series of the Green’s function are derived, which can be combined with the well-known recursion for the self-energy. The single site Green s function and Krein s theorem

An important step in electronic structure calculations using multiple-scattering theory is obtaining the density of states for the central site from the Green s function for that site. We have found that the Krein s spectral displacement function for the central site contributes significantly to the understanding of these calculations. We argue that these insights can lead to improvements in the robustness of MST electronic structure codes without negatively impacting their performance.
