Title: Observation of X(3872)→J/ψγ and Search for X(3872)→ψ'γ in B Decays

Abstract

We report a study of B→(J/ψγ)K and B→(ψ'γ)K decay modes using 772×10⁶ BB¯¯ events collected at the Υ(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB energy-asymmetric e⁺e⁻ collider. We observe X(3872)→J/ψγ and report the first evidence for χ_c2→J/ψγ in B→(X_cc-γ)K decays, while in a search for X(3872)→ψ'γ no significant signal is found. We measure the branching fractions, B(B^±→X(3872)K^±)B(X(3872)→J/ψγ)=(1.78^+0.48_-0.44±0.12)×10⁻⁶, B(B^±→χ_c2K^±)=(1.11^+0.36_-0.34^±0.09)×10⁻⁵, B(B^±→X(3872)K^±)B(X(3872)→ψ'γ)<3.45×10⁻⁶ (upper limit at 90% C.L.), and also provide upper limits for other searches.

We report a study of B (J/ψγ)K and B (ψ'γ)K decay modes using 772 × 106 BB events collected at the (4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB energy-asymmetric e⁺e⁻ collider. We observe X(3872) J/ψγ and report the first evidence for χc2 → J/ψγ in B→(X_cc₋γ)K decays, while in a search for X(3872)→ψ'γ no significant signal is found. We measure the branching fractions, B(B± X(3872)K±)B(X(3872) J/ψγ) = (1.78+0.48-0.44±0.12)×10⁻⁶, B(B± ! χc2K±)= (1.11+0.36 -0.34 ± 0.09) × 10⁻⁵, B(B± X (3872)K±)B(X(3872) ψ'γ) < 3.45 × 10⁻⁶ (upper limit at 90% C.L.) and also provide upper limits for other searches.

Bounds on the width, mass difference and other properties of $X (3872) \to π^{+} π^{-} J / ψ$ decays

We present results from a study of X(3872)→ππJ/ψ decays produced via exclusive B→KX(3872) decays. We determine the mass to be MX(3872)=(3871.85±0.27(stat)±0.19(syst)) MeV, a 90% confidence level upper limit on the natural width of ΓX(3872)<1.2 MeV, the product branching fraction B(B+→K+X(3872))×B(X(3872)→π+π-J/ψ)=(8.63±0.82(stat)±0.52(syst))×10-6, and a ratio of branching fractions B(B0→K0X(3872))/B(B+→K+X(3872))=0.50±0.14(stat)±0.04(syst). The difference in mass between the X(3872)→π+π-J/ψ signals in B+ and B0 decays is ΔMX(3872)=(-0.71±0.96(stat)±0.19(syst)) MeV. A search for a charged partner of the X(3872) in the decays B0→K-X+ or B+→K0X+, X+→π+π0J/ψ resulted in upper limits on the product branching fractions for these processes that are well below expectations for the case thatmore »« less

Measurements of the absolute branching fractions of $B^{+} \to X_{c \bar{c}} K^{+}$ and $B^{+} \to {\bar{D}}^{(*) 0} π^{+}$ at Belle

We present the measurement of the absolute branching fractions of B⁺ → X_cc¯K⁺ and B⁺ → D¯^(*)0π₊ decays, using a data sample of 772 × 10⁶ BB¯ pairs collected at the Υ(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e⁺e^– collider. Here, X_cc¯ denotes η_c, J/ψ, χ_c0, χ_c1, η_c(2S), ψ(2S), ψ(3770), X(3872), and X(3915). We do not observe significant signals for X(3872) or X(3915) and set the 90% confidence level upper limits at B(B⁺ → X(3872)K⁺) < 2.6 × 10^–4and B(B⁺ → X(3915)K⁺) < 2.8 × 10^–4.
