We present a reliable nonperturbative calculation of the QCD correction, at leading-order in the electromagnetic coupling, to the anomalous magnetic moment of the electron, muon and tau leptons using two-flavor lattice QCD. We use multiple lattice spacings, multiple volumes and a broad range of quark masses to control the continuum, infinite-volume and chiral limits. We examine the impact of the commonly ignored disconnected diagrams and introduce a modification to the previously used method that results in a well-controlled lattice calculation. Next-to-leading order QCD corrections to the single top quark production via model-independent tqg flavor-changing neutral-current couplings at hadron colliders

We present the calculations of the complete next-to-leading order (NLO) QCD effects on the single top productions induced by model-independent tqg flavor-changing neutral-current couplings at hadron colliders. Our results show that, for the tcg coupling, the NLO QCD corrections can enhance the total cross sections by about 60% and 30%, and for the tug coupling by about 50% and 20% at the Tevatron and LHC, respectively, which means that the NLO corrections can increase the experimental sensitivity to the flavor-changing neutral-current couplings by about 10%-30%. D0 and CDF collaborations at the Fermilab Tevatron have searched for nonstandard-model single top-quark production and have set upper limits on the anomalous top-quark flavor-changing neutral-current (FCNC) couplings {kappa}{sub tc}{sup g}/{lambda} and {kappa}{sub tu}{sup g}/{lambda} using the measurement of the total cross section calculated at the next-to-leading order (NLO) in QCD. In Part I the evaluation of the complete eighth order QED contribution to the difference of the anomalous magnetic moments of the muon and the electron, (a/sub ..mu../ - a/sub e/, arising from 469 Feynman diagrams is presented. The result is 140.7(4.5)(..cap alpha../..pi..). The theoretical error represents the estimated accuracy of the required numerical integration. The light-by-light QED contribution to (a/sub ..mu../ - a/sub e/) has also been improved.
