We report measurements of the branching fractions and CPasymmetries for B±h± (h=K_or π) and the observation of the decay B⁰K⁰ from the final data sample of 772 × 106BB pairs collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e⁺e- collider. First Observation of the Direct Production of the $χ_{c 1}$ in $e^{+} e^{-}$ Annihilation

We study the direct production of the J^PC = 1⁺⁺ charmonium state χc1(1P) in electron-positron annihilation by carrying out an energy scan around the mass of the χc1(1P). The data were collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. An interference pattern between the signal process e⁺e^– → χc1(1P) → γJ/ψ → γμ⁺μ^– and the background processes e⁺e^– → _γISRJ/ψ → _γISRμ⁺μ^– and e⁺e^– → _γISRμ⁺μ^– is observed by combining all the data samples. The χc1(1P) signal is observed with a significance of 5.1σ. This is the first observation of a C-even state directly produced in e⁺e^– annihilation. Using data samples of 89.5 fb^-1, 711.0 fb^-1, and 121.4 fb^-1 collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e⁺e^- collider at center-of-mass energies 10.52 GeV, 10.58 GeV,and 10.867 GeV, respectively, we study the exclusive reactions e⁺e^- → γχ_cj (J = 0, 1, 2) and e⁺e^-→ γη_c. A significant γχ_c1 signal is observed for the first time at cJ s = 10.58 GeV with a significance of 5.1σ including systematic uncertainties. No significant excesses for γχ_c0, γχ_c2, and γη_c final states are found, and we set 90% credibility level upper limits on the Born cross sections (σ_B) at 10.52more »« less
