Description/Abstract:
EXPONENTIAL AND APPROACH-TO-CRITICAL EXPERIMENTS WERE CONDUCTED WITH SLIGHTLY ENRICHED U IN LIGHT WATER. THE DIAMETERS OF THE U ELEMENTS RANGED FROM 0.175" TO 1.66". WITH ENRICHMENTS RANGING FROM 1.007W/O TO 3/063 W/O U-235. EXPONENTIAL MEASUREMENTS WERE ALSO PERFORMED WITH NATURAL U ROD(0.925" DIAM) IN LIGHT WATER. ANALYTICAL METHODS WERE USED TO CORRELATE THE EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS AND EXTEND THE DATA TO INCLUDE U RODS CONTAINING 4.0 W/O AND 5.O W/O U-235.
