DESCRIBES AND EVALUATES A RADIATION THERMOMETER USING INFRARED TECHNIQUES TO MONITOR SURFACE TEMPS OF IRRADIATED FUEL ELEMENTS IMMEDIATELY AFTER DISCHARGE FROM A REACTOR. THERMISTORS WERE CHOSEN AS SENSORS FOR THE INFRARED THERMOMETER.
