MOST OF THE EXAMPLES DISCUSSED INVOLVE EXTRACTION OF ACTINIDES BY TRI-N-OCTYLAMINE FROM NITRIC, HYDROCHLORIC, ACETIC OR SULFURIC ACIDS. THE ANION EXCHANGE MECHANISM OF EXTRACTION IS SUPPORTED BY THESE EXAMPLES.
