Description/Abstract:
A METHOD DEVELOPED TO SEPARATE RADIOACTIVE ZINC FROM REACTOR COOLING WATER BY ISOTOPE EXCHANGE WITH INERT ZINC IN THE FORM OF ZINC OF ZINC AMALGAM. THE PROCEDURE IS RAPID, AND SIMPLE ENOUGH TO WARRANT APPLICATION TO AN AUTOMATIC ANALYZER FOR CONTINUOUS MEASUREMENT OF RADIO-ACTIVE ZINC IN WASTE STREAMS.
