Description/Abstract:
OBJECTIVE: EVALUATION OF CHEMICAL CORROSION INHIBITIORS IN THE BALL 3-X SYSTEM. THE PROPOSED TEST INVOLVES 4 BALL HOPPER AT BOTH DR AND KW REACTORS, WITH 1 HOPPER TO SERVE AS CONTROL AND 3 CONTAINING BALLS RINSED IN IMMUNOL AND PROTECTED WITH VAPOR PHASE INHIBITOR VPI 270. ONE TEST HOPPER WILL CONTAIN OLD BALLS, ANOTHER NEW BALLS, AND THE THIRD, BALLS STRIPPED OF THEIR NI COATING.
